The Padres are having a tough year, there’s just no other way to say it. So what do we do? The starting pitching is pretty good, but the bullpen can’t hold their schmenkels, much less a lead. And the offense, to steal another colorful expression, “couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a freaking boat.”
I can only think of one thing to be done. We need to resurrect Anthony Keith Gwynn, and we need to do it soon. If he can kick the pork chops, he could help. And now that I think about it, Barry Bonds doesn’t have a job, either. I don’t care if his head is the size of a gas station propane tank. Get his needle-punching ass in here. He could always hit in San Diego! But still….
#19, we need you…..
I just had to watch them lose 2 days in a row, surrounded by Braves fans. I promise, I rooted for our boys to the end – even though they made it VERY HARD! Ah, for the days of a decent bullpen…sigh…
